
Chad Boggio is Council Representative for the public sector in Los Angeles County. He joined the Council in 2021.
As Council Representative, Boggio is lead negotiator for all of the public sector Memorandums of Understanding. In addition, he serves as the principal member of many public sector union coalitions, joint labor management committees and workforce development boards.
The Council represents approximately 4,000 public sector members, who work at five employers: the City of Los Angeles; County of Los Angeles; LA Community College District; LA Unified School District; Housing Authority of the City of LA.
In 2023, Council Executive Secretary Ernesto Medrano named Boggio as Chief of Staff for the Council office, where he oversees administrative staff and manages day-to-day operations in collaboration with Executive Secretary Medrano.
Boggio rose through the ranks as a skilled union Tile Layer, and served for 26 years as one of two principal officers of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local Union in Los Angeles. He holds a Designated Subjects Vocational Teaching Credential and has trained many Building Trades union members.
