Welcome, Public Sector Members

Chad Boggio
Council Representative, Civil Service/Public Sector
cboggio@laocbuildingtrades.org

Welcome to this website section for members who work for public sector employers.

As Public Sector Representative, I’m here to answer questions and provide assistance.

The Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council represents approximately 4,000 public sector members, who work at five employers in Los Angeles County. These employers are signatory to Memorandums of Understanding (MOU’s) with the Building Trades Council.

The five employers are:

City of Los Angeles

County of Los Angeles

Los Angeles Community College District

Los Angeles Unified School District

Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles

If you work in a Building Trades position at one of those agencies, we represent you.

The Building Trades Council acts as lead negotiator for all of the public sector MOU’s where the Council is signatory. In addition, the Public Sector Representative serves as the principal member of many public sector union coalitions, joint labor management committees and workforce development boards. The Representative also provides representational support to the local union’s Business Representatives on an as-needed basis.

We have more information for you, which is available only by signing in with an employee ID number. These pages will be live shortly. For any questions, please contact me directly.
